Windows in any building are the thermal holes impacting on energy/electricity
consumption of the building which in turn help create the carbon footprint of the
building.

Window glass comprise on average 20% of the total square meters of a building. Nearly 75% of radiant heat gain or loss in a building take place through the windows.

Normal blinds create shade, one cannot see through it, but do not stop radiant heat from entering or escaping from the office/room. The UV rays reduce the lifespan of the blinds and costly blind replacements are frequent.

Sun film on the windows stop the glare and damaging UV rays, but has virtually no insulating attributes. Relative short lifespan, time consuming and costly labour intensive when removing old sun film with subsequent loss of productivity for the office occupant.
